Sutra
तन्मध्ये योजनं पुष्करम् ।।१७।।
Meaning
 इसके बीच में एक योजन का कमल है।।१७ ||

भावार्थ

(तन्मध्ये) उस प्रथम ह्रद के मध्य में (योजनं) एक योजन विस्तार वाला (पुष्करम्) कमल है। पहले पद्म सरोवर के मध्य में एक योजन विस्तार वाला कमल है। Reference:Tatwarth-Manjusha-Khand-1-तत्वार्थ-मंजूषा-खंड-१-Aryika-Shri-Vigyanmati-Mataji

English Meaning:

In the middle of this first lake, there is a lotus of the size of one yojana. ‘Yojanam’ means of the extent of one yojana. It amounts to this: each petal measures one-fourth of a yojana (one krośa) and the pericarp half a yojana (two krośa). Hence, the lotus is one yojana (= four krośa) long and one yojana broad. The lotus consists of a multitude of petals (1011 in number, see ‘Trilokasāra’, verse 569) densely packed, and its stalk has the height of one half of a yojana (two krośa), from the surface of the water. Questions and Answers: शङ्का -समाधान

Answer उस कमल के एक कोस लम्बे पत्ते हैं, दो कोस विस्तृत कर्णिका है। इस रूप से एक योजन लम्बा-चौड़ा कमल है। इसका नाल जल से दो कोस ऊँचा है और पत्तों का भाग भी दो कोस ऊँचा है।

Answer ( इस कमल के पत्ते आदि वनस्पतिकायिक नहीं हैं ) क्योंकि इसका मूलभाग वज्रमय, कन्द अरिष्ट मणिमय, मृणाल रजत मणिमय और नाल वैडूर्यमणिमय है । इसके बाहरी पत्ते सुवर्णमय, भीतरी पत्ते रजतमय, केसर सुवर्णमय और कर्णिका अनेक प्रकार की विचित्र मणियों से युक्त है (अत: यह कमल पृथ्वीकायिक है )
