न जघन्य – गुणानाम् ॥३४॥
Meaning
जघन्यगुण वाले परमाणुओं का बन्ध नहीं होता ॥३४॥

भावार्थ

अतः जिन परमाणुओं में स्निग्धता अथवा रूक्षता का एक अविभागी प्रतिच्छेद रह जाता है उनका बन्ध नहीं होता । गुण स्निग्धता और रूक्षता के अविभागी प्रतिच्छेदों (जिनका टुकड़ा नहीं हो सके ऐसे अंशों) को गुण कहते हैं।-परमाणु जघन्यगुण वाले परमाणु जिस परमाणु में स्निग्धता और रूक्षता का एक अबिभागी अंश होता है, उसे जघन्यगुण सहित परमाणु कहते हैं। Reference:Tatvartha-Sutra-Pradeep-Bhaiya-Piyush-तत्वार्थसूत्र बा.ब्र.प्रदीप पियूष– Link to book

English Meaning:

Combination does not take place between atoms of the lowest degrees of the two attributes. Here, jaghanya’ means the lowest and ‘guna’ means degree (of the attribute). Those which possess the lowest degree of the attribute are the lowest degree. There is no combination between atoms which are characterized by the lowest degree of greasiness or roughness. It is as follows. There is no combination of one degree of greasiness with one, two, numerable, innumerable or infinite degrees of greasiness. In the same manner, there is no combination of one degree of greasiness with one, two, numerable, innumerable or infinite degrees of roughness. Answer जिस प्रकार ऊँटनी, भैंस, गाय और बकरी के दूध में चिकनापन क्रमश: हीन-हीन देखा जाता है और महा परिणाम वाले आकाश द्रव्य, धर्म द्रव्य, स्वयंभूरमण समुद्र, घट, बेर, पोस्त में परिमाण की न्यूनता होते-होते सबसे छोटा परमाणु प्राप्त होता है उसी प्रकार स्निग्धता और रूक्षता के अविभाग प्रतिच्छेदों में न्यूनता होते-होते जघन्य गुणों की सिद्धि होती है। इसी प्रकार प्रकर्षता होते-होते उत्कृष्ट गुणों की सिद्धि भी होती है।
